Cam Poston lives and writes on James Island in Charleston, South Carolina. When she last looked at genealogy records, albeit probably incorrectly, she thought she saw records indicating her paternal grandmother’s family settled in Charleston in the Eighteenth Century. Unfortunately, Cam doesn’t have the soft, slow, southern accent coveted by all true Charlestonians.
She grew up in Norfolk, Virginia and Elizabeth City, North Carolina, and spent every summer in Poston, South Carolina.
“In Southern writing,” Cam once said, “I believe an additional character makes herself at home. Her name is The South.”
When she’s not writing, Cam works on a house that always needs repairs, and does her best to placate her cat, Tallulah.
